We have lots of different committees, so members can contribute all of their talents in ways they most enjoy.

Attendance, Reservations & Telephone
Maintains member attendance records, receives members' dinner/meeting cancellations, receives the "news & notices" and spreads the word to club members.

Audit
Audits the treasurer's books at close of club year.

Budget & Finance
Reviews financial affairs of the club and prepares club budget for the upcoming year.

Bulletin
Designs and prints the club newsletter, the "Seascript," to report club happenings.  The "Seascript" is also the lifeblood of the club and contains important dates for club events, District Meetings, Regional Conferences, and Federation Convention.

Environmental
Keeps club aware of environmental concerns, advocates Soroptimist positions, takes actions that will improve the quality of life.

Flags
Keeps records, places orders, maintains the inventory and distributes the "Island Flag," which is copyrighted by our club.

Foundations
Educates club members about the Soroptimist Foundations, how they are funded and how the funds are used.  Committee should encourage individual and club contributions to the foundations. Also, distributes applications for TAP (Training Awards Program) and YCA (Youth Citizenship Awards).  Selects the panal of judges and submits winners' names for judging on the regional level.

Growth & Development
Determines the eligibility of names submitted for membership, helps with induction of new members, helps to establish and nurture new clubs.  Responsible for pre- and post-orientation meetings in conjunction with the SOLT Committee.

Historian

Human Rights & the Status of Women
Keeps membership informed on all new developments affecting the status of women and human rights.  Responsible for Making a Difference for Women, Women Helping Women, and Woman of Distinction Awards.

International Good Will & Understanding
Work with friendship link and other international programs of SIA. Keeps club informed of Federation projects concerning the nation and the world.  Keeps club informed of UN activities and its specialized agencies.

Laws & Resolutions
Responsible for reviewing all proposed amendments to club procedures and for making recommendations to the club. Prepares any necessary amendments to club procedures.  Also prepares (for presentation to the club) any amendments as requested by the club's Board of Directors.

LBI Artwork
Keeps records and inventory of LBI postcards, posters and notepaper until supply is exhausted.

Parade
Organizes and designs club float for participation in the annual Ship Bottom Christmas Parade.

Parliamentarian

Public Relations
Works towards favorable public relations in accordance with the public relations program of the federation.

Purchaser

S Club
Club sponsored service club for children in grades 7 through 12. Assists our sponsored club in its activities and programs of service to the community.

Scholarship & Education
Submits applications to local high schools for annual scholarship. Decides on scholarship winners.

Service
Service is the backbone of this organization: Follows the SIA Quadrennial Program diligently, reviews and recommends service projects and donations in conjunction with the club President's project for her year, also reviews and proposes annual charitable donations.

SOLT
Twofold responsibility: to educate club members about the heritage, objects, policies and programs of the organization; and to prepare club members for leadership within the organization and in their own communities.

Special Events
Plans and organizes annual Christmas Party, Club Birthday party, and every third year plans the Tri-Club installation dinner. The committee also arranges any other special club functions, such as Pot Luck Dinners, Dessert Meetings, etc.

Student Loan
A separate SI/LBI corporation.  Receives requests for educational grants and decides on recipients.

Sunshine
Spreads sunshine to ill members and sends condolences when appropriate. Keeps members informed as to illness of members, family deaths, births, etc.

Ways & Means
Suggests methods of raising money and directs fund-raising projects, projects expenses and profits to be derived.
